From 1 January 2022, the Fiscal Authority is fundamentally changing its way of mail delivery.

Until now, the tax authorities have been delivering documents by mail in hardcopy.

From 1 January 2022, mail from the tax administration will be delivered almost exclusively electronically into the electronic mailbox (ebox) maintained on the Central Portal of Public Administration www.slovensko.sk, only in specific cases otherwise.

Thus, from 1 January 2022, the tax office will deliver its mailings to every Slovak company solely electronically into the ebox.

If you are a legal entity registered in the Commercial Register of the Slovak Republic (s.r.o., k.s., a.s., etc.), your e-box has been activated automatically. If you don´t have access to the ebox yourself and have not authorized us for this access, we recommend that you take advantage of this opportunity.

If you have access to your electronic mailbox, we kindly ask you to collect your mailings within a period of 15 days (after the expiration of this period a document addressed in your own hands will be deemed to have been delivered with all the legal consequences, the so-called fiction of delivery), and to make these mailings available to us as soon as possible.

If you are a natural person, who has not activated your ebox (activation is voluntary for natural persons for the time being), your mailings will be delivered in non-electronic form by the Slovak Post. If you have voluntarily activated your ebox or you do so, the same applies to you as in the section above regarding legal entities.
